When I graduated from college, I moved to a new city and grabbed the first job I could. Lucky for me, it was in an industry I enjoyed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in the industry I spent four years and thousands of dollars studying.
I worked hard. I grew in my job and showed it as much love and passion as I could muster. However, I always had this nagging feeling that I could do more. I could be more.
So, in February of 2019, when my wife and I found out we were expecting our first baby, I knew it was time to take action. I bought courses, listened to podcasts and read books all on one very focused topic–how to start a freelance writing business.
I knew, with a baby on the way, I needed three things to give my family the life we want: more freedom, more income and more flexibility. So, I got to work building my business–one client at a time.
But I’ve learned something since I started my business. Businesses are never built alone.
